Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX Mirrorless Camera
The Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX (DC-S5M2X) is a powerful full-frame mirrorless camera aimed particularly at serious video creators and filmmakers, while still being a capable photography camera. It is essentially a more video-focused version of the S5 II, with features such as internal ProRes recording, USB-SSD recording, RAW video output and advanced streaming capabilities.
It uses a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor with Phase Hybrid AF, giving Panasonic a major autofocus improvement over its older contrast-detection systems. It also features 5-axis sensor-shift stabilization, making it well suited to handheld filmmaking and run-and-gun shooting.
For video, the S5 IIX is particularly impressive. It supports 6K 30p 10-bit recording, C4K/4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2, unlimited 4K 60p recording, V-Log, Real-time LUTs and RAW video output. It can also record ProRes internally and externally, and supports recording directly to an external USB SSD.
