It features a bright f/1.8 aperture for low-light photography and smooth background blur, with a 35mm focal length and 64° angle of view suited to street photography, portraits, travel, vlogging, and everyday shooting. It uses a quiet STM autofocus motor, 11-blade diaphragm, de-clicked aperture ring, customizable Fn button, AF/MF switch, and USB-C port for firmware updates. The optical design consists of 11 elements in 8 groups, including ED, high-refraction, and aspherical elements. It has a 40cm minimum focusing distance, 62mm filter thread, no optical image stabilization, and weighs approximately 430g in the L-mount version.
