The Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens (Nikon F) is a full-frame 1:1 macro prime designed for Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras. It's primarily built for macro and close-up photography, but its 105mm focal length also makes it useful for portraits and detail work.
Its 1:1 reproduction ratio allows subjects to be captured at life size on the sensor, making it excellent for insects, flowers, jewelry, product photography, food, and other small subjects. The f/2.8 aperture also provides good subject separation and reasonable low-light performance.
It features Optical Stabilization (OS), Sigma's Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) autofocus system, and a 9-blade rounded diaphragm. It has a 31.2cm minimum focusing distance and 1:1 maximum magnification.
