Sony Alpha a7R II Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body Only)
The Sony α7R II (ILCE-7RM2) is a high-resolution full-frame mirrorless camera designed primarily for photographers who want excellent detail, dynamic range and strong low-light image quality at a more accessible price than newer α7R models.
It features a 42.4MP back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processing. The high resolution makes it particularly useful for landscapes, portraits, architecture, studio work, product photography and detailed travel images, while also providing plenty of room for cropping.
The α7R II introduced 5-axis in-body stabilization to Sony's high-resolution α7R series, helping reduce camera shake during handheld shooting. It also uses a 399-point phase-detection autofocus system combined with contrast detection.
For video, the camera can record 4K up to 30p and supports S-Log2/S-Log3, making it capable of producing high-quality footage. However, its video autofocus, battery life, processing power and overall usability are considerably behind newer Sony cameras.
